As misinformation can lead to serious repercussions like confusion and social divisions, hence, implementing solutions such as enhancing media literacy and enforcing stricter regulations on social media platforms must be implemented. 

One of the primary problems caused by misinformation is the confusion it generates. Social media users are often bombarded with a mix of accurate and inaccurate information, making it difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood. This confusion is exacerbated by the speed at which misinformation spreads, often faster than corrections or verified information. As a result, individuals may make decisions based on inaccurate data, whether it’s related to health, politics, or societal issues, leading to widespread misunderstandings. 

Misinformation also contributes to social division. False narratives often reinforce existing biases and polarize communities.
